**Job Title:** Accounting Manager

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting operations of our client. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small team of accounting personnel and professionals, implementing best practices, and contributing to the financial strategy of the company.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Supervise and mentor accounting staff to enhance their professional development
* Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and general ledger functions
* Ensure compliance with government regulations, including T4 filings, WCB filings, PST, and GST for multiple entities
* Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy
* Identify opportunities for process and system improvements, implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
* Coordinate and manage external audits in conjunction with the Manager of Financial Reporting

**Requirements:**

* CPA designation required
* 5+ years of accounting experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role
* Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel
* Strong understanding of GAAP and financial controls
* Ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
