Job Description

CNC Machinist Programmer Role:

The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, ability to handle multiple jobs simultaneously, and excellent time management abilities.

  • Maintain machine runtimes according to department goals, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Meet quality standards set by the department, adhering to rigorous inspection protocols.
  • Conduct geometry checks at designated intervals, identifying and addressing any abnormalities.
  • Train junior staff members in 5x programming, machine operation, and setup principles, promoting knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop standardized work processes and instructions, enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Analyze scheduling systems, recommending improvements to optimize production workflows.
  • Identify and resolve abnormal program conditions, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
  • Investigate nonconformance issues, implementing corrective measures to maintain product quality.
  • Work independently during various shifts, exercising self-motivation and discipline.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, preferably complemented by technical education or relevant experience.
  • Previous experience as a machinist programmer, with proficiency in 5x programming and principles.
  • Familiarity with CAM software, verification software, and quality checking software, enhancing overall production capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of machining theory and practical applications, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, supporting administrative tasks and data analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills, promoting adaptability and teamwork.
  • Well-organized with good time management abilities, ensuring timely completion of projects and tasks.
Estimated Salary

Ranging from $70,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
