At Maple Leaf Foods Inc., we're committed to producing high-quality pork products. We're seeking an experienced Pig Farm Operations Specialist to join our team in Winkler, Manitoba.

The estimated salary for this position is $19 per hour, based on industry standards and the location.

Job Description:

As a Pig Farm Operations Specialist, you'll work closely with our Team Lead to ensure the smooth operation of our pig farm. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities, maintaining herd health and environment, and performing general maintenance and cleaning duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with feeding and general care of pigs
  • Maintain herd health and environment
  • Perform pressure washing and prepare rooms for use
  • Conduct general maintenance, cleaning, and clerical duties

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities and complex tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to wear proper PPE and comply with safety requirements
  • Ability to lift 25kg
  • A valid driver's license and ability to travel to and from work
