We are seeking a highly skilled Obstetrician-Gynecologist to join our team at Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services.
Key Responsibilities:- Education: A degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a related field is an asset.
- Diagnose and treat diseases and physiological disorders in women.
- Conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, and preventive or curative methods.
- Prescribe post-operation medication and treatment.
- Treat diseases, injuries, and deformities.
- Conduct microscopic and chemical analyses of laboratory samples and specimens.
- Study the nature, cause, and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases.
- Supervise laboratory activities.
- Act as consultants to other physicians.
- Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities is required.
- 75 hours bi-weekly.
- English is the primary language of work.
