Job Title: Obstetrician-Gynecologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Obstetrician-Gynecologist to join our team at Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Education: A degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a related field is an asset.
Key Tasks:
  • Diagnose and treat diseases and physiological disorders in women.
  • Conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, and preventive or curative methods.
  • Prescribe post-operation medication and treatment.
  • Treat diseases, injuries, and deformities.
  • Conduct microscopic and chemical analyses of laboratory samples and specimens.
  • Study the nature, cause, and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases.
  • Supervise laboratory activities.
  • Act as consultants to other physicians.
  • Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures.
Certifications and Licenses:
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities is required.
Work Environment:
  • 75 hours bi-weekly.
  • English is the primary language of work.
