Job Title: Tile Setter - Surface Preparation Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter - Surface Preparation Specialist to join our team at Precise Landscaping and Construction. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for tile installation, mixing and applying adhesives, and setting tiles in place.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, measuring, and marking them.
  • Mix and apply adhesives to ensure a strong bond between the tile and the surface.
  • Set tiles in place, ensuring they are level and securely fastened.
  • Align and straighten tiles to achieve a professional finish.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs.
  • Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite.
  • Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces.
  • Install tile strips.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tile setting.
  • Accurate and dependable with a strong work ethic.
