Job Summary

Mercer International is seeking an experienced Pipefitter to join our Maintenance Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining, installing, and repairing piping systems, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on piping systems to prevent downtime and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Install new piping systems and components, adhering to industry standards and best practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with piping systems, utilizing problem-solving skills and technical expertise
  • Collaborate with maintenance supervisors and other tradespersons to achieve outstanding results and maintain a safe working environment
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in pipefitting techniques and materials

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Interprovincial Red Seal Endorsement (RSE) as a Pipefitter
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a heavy industrial setting, with a strong background in pipefitting and maintenance
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and safety regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and other documentation
