Job Title: Executive Sous Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at DoubleTree Fallsview Resort & Spa by Hilton. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency in every dish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory to optimize kitchen operations.
  • Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Collaborate with our culinary team to develop and implement new menu items and promotions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in menu planning, inventory management, and cost control initiatives to drive business growth and profitability.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
  • Proven track record of success in menu planning, inventory management, and cost control.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Cook Trade Certification and Safe Food Handling certificate are assets.
