Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Lansdowne Excavation Limited is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, ensuring that our fleet is in top working condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Order parts and maintain inventory
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
  • Service attachments and working tools
  • Perform other routine maintenance
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
  • No degree, certificate or diploma required
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
Work Environment:

Our team works in a variety of locations, including outdoors and in cold/refrigerated environments. You will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, and gloves to ensure your safety while working.
