Job Title: Housekeeper Cook

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Housekeeper Cook to join our team at Charles MacPherson Associates. As a Housekeeper Cook, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our residence, as well as preparing and cooking meals for our family.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily housekeeping tasks, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning kitchen and bathroom areas.
  • Prepare and cook meals, following recipes and using basic cooking techniques.
  • Manage inventory of groceries, cleaning products, and toiletries.
  • Perform regular laundry and occasional steaming or ironing.
  • Manage trash and recycling.
  • Perform weekly cleaning of patio furniture and pool during summer months.
  • Supervise trades and contractors as needed, in conjunction with our family's executive assistant.
  • Ensure household security protocols are followed.
  • Answer the door and receive packages.
  • Perform light pet care.
  • Run errands and perform other tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Excellent English communication skills and professional personal presentation.
  • Comfortable reaching high spaces using a house ladder.
  • Must be comfortable lifting 30 pounds.
  • Excellent housekeeping, laundry, and ironing skills; correct use of products and techniques for fine finishes and surfaces.
  • Must maintain privacy and confidentiality, exercising diplomacy, discretion, and respecting appropriate boundaries.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Must have a full license and reliable access to a vehicle.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time, live-out position with work hours from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with some flexibility required to work occasional evenings or weekends with ample notice.
