Job Title: Housekeeper Cook

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Housekeeper Cook to join our team at Charles MacPherson Associates. As a key member of our household staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our residence, as well as preparing delicious meals for our family.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Housekeeping: Ensure the overall cleanliness and organization of the residence, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, and washing floors.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and cook basic dishes following recipes, ensuring a high level of quality and presentation.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of groceries, cleaning products, and toiletries, ensuring that we always have what we need.
  • Laundry and Ironing: Regularly do laundry and occasionally steam or iron clothes, ensuring they are clean and pressed.
  • Trash and Recycling: Manage the trash and recycling, ensuring that we are environmentally responsible.
  • Pool and Patio Maintenance: Clean the pool and patio furniture on a weekly basis during the summer months.
  • Supervision: Be on site to supervise trades and contractors as needed, in conjunction with our family's executive assistant.
  • Security Protocols: Ensure that household security protocols are followed at all times.
  • Reception and Errands: Answer the door, receive packages, and run errands as needed.
  • Pet Care: Provide light pet care, ensuring the well-being of our furry friends.

Requirements:

  • Communication Skills: Excellent English communication skills and professional personal presentation.
  • Physical Abilities: Comfortable reaching high spaces using a house ladder and must be able to lift 30 pounds.
  • Housekeeping Skills: Excellent housekeeping, laundry, and ironing skills, with correct use of products and tools for fine finishes and surfaces.
  • Confidentiality: Must maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times, exercising diplomacy, discretion, and respecting appropriate boundaries.
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Transportation: Must have a full license and reliable access to a vehicle.
