At the Canadian Museum of History, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Planning Manager to join our team.

Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing financial analysis, reconciliations and ensuring financial control and accurate internal and external reporting of all financial data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the quarterly and annual corporate financial statements including working paper submission review and oversight;
  • Establish budgets in the financial system and maintain the financial system budgetary control;
  • Assist in the preparation of the Corporate Plan and Summaries;
  • Conduct resource planning exercises and their presentation;
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have five years of combined relevant experience in:

  • Financial planning, reporting and budgeting;
  • Preparation and analysis of financial statements and/or financial reports to senior management;
  • Analysis of business proposals;
  • Development and implementation of financial and administrative control systems;
  • Providing strategic financial advice and recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Knowledge of Financial reporting, administration and management systems, practices and techniques;
  • Understanding of Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS);
  • Awareness of trends, developments and professional standards specific to financial management, corporate accounting, quality assurance, and modern comptrollership;
  • Skills in planning and budget control practices;
  • Ability to analyze plans, estimates, expenses and budgets;

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of NU4 - $ 76,250 to $ 104,451, as well as flexible and competitive benefits and working conditions.
