Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architectural Designer to join our team at Dream. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating detailed designs and working drawings for residential projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee detailed designs and working drawings for residential projects;
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the design team on design-related matters;
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure timely completion of projects;
  • Review and discuss construction issues with the project team;
  • Prepare and submit building permit documents;
  • Work with the design team to standardize design activities and improve departmental KPIs;
  • Maintain CAD standards and plan consistency;
  • Assist in staying current with new products and designs;
  • Mentor junior designers on pre-construction processes;
  • Plan checks and checking other designers' work;
  • Assist the manager with product development;
  • Interior and exterior palette selections and maintenance;
Requirements
  • Postsecondary education in Architectural Technologies (Residential Stream);
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in residential home design;
  • Extensive knowledge of home building, estimating, construction building materials, and building code standards;
  • LEED accreditation would be an asset;
  • Highly proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office;
