Android Security Engineer

Samsung Research America is seeking a highly skilled Android Security Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Knox team, you will be responsible for designing and architecting new security and user privacy features for Samsung's mobile products.
Key Responsibilities- Propose novel security and privacy features for Samsung's smartphones targeted towards end users
- Design and architect security features
- Provide expert security guidance to global development teams and ensure security requirements are met through the development process
- Keep up-to-date with latest security features and vulnerability reports on mobile devices from various sources
- Research and innovate security through patents where applicable
- 10+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor's degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Experience in computer security and/or user privacy as demonstrated by one or more of: academic publications, academic or industry experience in security, tools developed to analyze computer programs, understanding of security architecture principles, access control and cryptography primitives, a holistic understanding of the Android software stack, knowledge of secure coding and exploit mitigations

This position will be performed in an office setting, and the incumbent will be required to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, and frequently operate standard office equipment.
