Job Title: Intermediate Process Engineer

Wood is seeking an experienced Intermediate Process Engineer to join our team in Edmonton, AB. As a key member of our Oil & Gas Canada business, you will be engaged in projects across various areas, including oil and gas, energy transition, and petrochemical industries.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled engineer with a strong background in process engineering fundamentals and technical safety experience in the above industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering quality projects to meet our client's requirements and expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct process engineering activities, including study phase, DBM, FEED, and Detailed Design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects across multiple areas.
  • Develop and maintain strong technical and communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Participate in the development of process engineering fundamentals and technical safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Currently registered or eligible for registration with APEGA.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • 5 to 10 years' experience in refining, petrochemicals, or oil & gas industries.
  • Working ability in HYSYS and/or ProMax.
  • Ability to conduct hydraulics.
  • Working ability in AFT Fathom/Arrow is an asset.
  • Strong written and oral communication (English) skills.
  • Strong understanding of process engineering fundamentals.
  • Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines across multiple projects.
  • PHA experience is an asset.
