Join Our Team as an Intermediate Process Engineer

Wood is seeking an experienced Intermediate Process Engineer to join our team in Edmonton, AB. As a key member of our Oil & Gas Canada business, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality projects across various industries, including oil and gas, energy transition, and petrochemicals.

We are looking for a skilled engineer with a strong background in process engineering, who can work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex ideas to stakeholders. Your expertise in HYSYS and/or ProMax, as well as your ability to conduct hydraulics, will be essential in driving project success.

As an Intermediate Process Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from study phase to detailed design. Your strong technical and communication skills, combined with your experience in process safety, will enable you to make a genuine impact on our performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality process engineering projects across various industries
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency
  • Conduct hydraulics and process safety assessments
  • Communicate complex ideas to stakeholders through effective written and oral communication

Requirements:

  • Currently registered or eligible for registration with APEGA
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • 5-10 years of experience in refining, petrochemicals, or oil & gas industries
  • Working ability in HYSYS and/or ProMax
  • Ability to conduct hydraulics
  • Strong written and oral communication (English) skills
  • Strong understanding of process engineering fundamentals
