Mainframe Security Role

At LanceSoft, we are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing mainframe security initiatives related to authentication, authorization, and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and support mainframe security initiatives, including authentication, authorization, and automation.
  2. Collaborate with the security architecture team to develop technical solutions and test them.
  3. Work with security operations and engineering teams to execute security solutions, including deployment, process change, and training.
  4. Assess the technical feasibility of proposals to achieve security requirements using various tooling and processes.
  5. Work with technology and security teams to design and implement solutions.
  6. Create security monitoring, automation, and reporting using various tools.
  7. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators and establish processes for preventative actions.

Qualifications:

  1. At least 4 years of experience as a RACF Engineer or Administrator.
  2. Advanced experience with IBM RACF and IBM-ZSecure configuration/internals.
  3. Ability to program in JCL, REXX, and CarLa.
  4. Experience with z/OS utilities and facilities.
  5. Experience with database technology.
  6. Experience with implementing Digital Certificates, encryption, and MFA.
  7. Knowledge of common aspects of zOS installations.
  8. Capable of working independently with limited oversight.
  9. Capable of project planning, organization, time management skills, and ability to multi-task.
  10. MS Office business application experience.
  11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  1. Experience with CA/Broadcom Top Secret Security.
  2. Experience with distributed technology.
  3. Prior experience with Systems Programming, Mainframe Network engineering, and Middleware.
  4. Knowledge of PERL, shell scripting, OpenSSL, and SSH.
