Job Overview:

Startec Compression & Process is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to join our team. As a Quality Control Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the precision, reliability, and quality of fabricated parts. Your expertise in inspection methodologies and technical drawings interpretation will be essential in upholding the highest standards of quality throughout the fabrication process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of fabricated components according to established standards and specifications.
  • Ensure that non-destructive and other examinations have been performed to the degree specified by the contract.
  • Perform a final dimensional and visual inspection of pressure vessels and piping before PWHT/Hydrotest.
  • Inspect pressure vessels, structural skids base frames, and pressure piping systems being fabricated or already installed.
  • Identify and document any deviations from quality standards and report accordingly.
  • Create an inspection and test plan (ITP) based on the project requirements including the applicable standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is considered an asset.
  • A minimum CWB Level 1 and/or AWS CWI.
  • Familiarity with ASME, ASTM, ABSA PESR, and CSA codes and standards.
  • Proven experience as a quality control inspector in a fabrication environment.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in measurements and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
