About the Position:

Walters Group is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Paint Department as a Labourer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting our Painters in various tasks, including rigging, hoisting, and moving materials using overhead cranes and forklifts. You will also learn how to properly mix and apply industry paint, operate trade tools, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Rig, hoist, and move material using overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Learn how to properly mix and apply a variety of industry paint.
  • Operate trade tools such as paint sprayers, paint measuring tools, and gauges, and sandblasters to assist Painters.
  • Keep an organized and clean work environment.
  • Ensure to follow all health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Opportunity to cross-train on various material handling equipment and production machines.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others as part of a team.
  • Able to adapt and complete tasks as priorities change.
  • Strong time management skills and work ethic.
