Job Title: Chief Information Security Officer

About the Role:

The Government of Bermuda is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Information Security Officer to lead the development and administration of the Government-wide risk-based information systems security programme. This role is critical in ensuring the risks associated with the implementation, operation, and use of Government Information systems are maintained within acceptable levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy to protect Government Information systems
  • Lead the Government Cybersecurity Unit and serve as a key member of the Cybersecurity Governance Board to support the ongoing development and implementation of the Bermuda Cybersecurity Strategy
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate information security risks
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Government departments and agencies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related subject
  • Minimum of ten years' experience in information security, technology, risk management, and business continuity/disaster recovery
  • Experience in security monitoring, auditing, risk assessment, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, system/network administration, database administration, and application development and management
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
