Pharmacy Assistant

At Innomar Strategies, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in filling prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, responding to their inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Enter, scan, and process prescriptions using Kroll Pharmacy software, maintaining accurate records and data.
- Verify that customers receive the correct prescription(s), ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to pharmacy standards and protocols.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from internal and external customers, providing timely and accurate information.
- Screen telephone calls for pharmacists, ensuring that all calls are handled efficiently and effectively.
- Order, receive, and maintain inventory of medications, adhering to pharmacy protocols and procedures.
- Prepare and process billings, claims, disbursements, and related documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Review invoices and other documentation, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues.
- Pack and ship prescription orders according to established protocols, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Maintain pharmacy records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Report Adverse Events in accordance with provincial regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Assist in general housekeeping and administrative duties, supporting the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the pharmacy.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy experience an asset.
- Proficiency in Kroll Pharmacy software and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) an asset.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Organized with the ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy, with excellent time management skills.
- Bilingualism (French/English) an asset.
- Working knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry and strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, with effective interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Effective organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to consistently meet deadlines.
