Job Summary

As a skilled Maintenance Technician with Louisiana-Pacific Corporation, you will be responsible for performing preventative and predictive maintenance as a journey level mechanic. This role requires a strong understanding of maintenance equipment and tools, as well as the ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and written repair manuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform skilled preventative and predictive maintenance duties as needed.
  • Make repairs to plant equipment to eliminate operating problems.
  • Perform welding and fabrications as per drawings and blueprints.
  • Routinely check operating condition of equipment and maintain records.
  • Make installations and alignments to ensure proper equipment operations.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety and environmental rules and regulations.
  • Work overtime as needed and be on call.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of technical training in general maintenance.
  • 2 – 5 years' general maintenance experience required.
