Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Louisiana-Pacific Corporation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative and predictive maintenance on our equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of equipment and machinery.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance duties, such as lubricating moving parts, cleaning equipment, and performing routine checks.
  • Use welding and fabrication skills to repair and maintain equipment and machinery.
  • Work with supervisors and other team members to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, materials used, and equipment downtime.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of equipment and machinery.
  • Stay up-to-date with safety and environmental regulations, and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of technical training in general maintenance or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in general maintenance or a related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and written repair manuals.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
