Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Goodyear. As a key member of our manufacturing process, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair of tire-related equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of equipment to ensure optimal operating conditions and uptime.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machines and drive power distribution systems, instrumentation, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform PLC maintenance issues and troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and other mechanical issues.
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, maintenance manuals, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Cut, form, thread, fit, and install piping for air, water, steam, oil, nitrogen, gas, and other lines.
  • Prepare and weld in flat, vertical, or overhead positions with multiple technologies.
  • Use gas torches or other equipment to cut structural stock for fabrication.
  • Log or use a computerized work order system for repair and maintenance activities performed.
  • Adhere to safe work standards, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Fall Protection, Confined Spaces, and appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), NFPA 70E (Arc flash).
  • Perform a variety of manual tasks in varying temperatures for extended periods, including lifting light to heavy materials, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights when applicable.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be able to successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment contingencies.
  • Ability to work any and/or rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, or overtime if applicable.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Current Certificate of Qualification license and related experience in one of the following: Industrial electrician with 3+ years' journeyman industrial experience, Mechanical/electronic/electrical technology or instrumentation technology with 3+ years of related industrial experience, Industrial maintenance mechanic (millwright) with 3+ years' journeyman industrial experience, or Motor vehicle mechanic with 3+ years' experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience adhering to industry-specific safety standards.
