Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team at the Ontario Public Service. As a Grounds Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and facilities of our correctional facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to perform maintenance tasks
  • Operate power tools and machinery to maintain grounds and facilities
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks as required
  • Set up and install machinery and equipment
  • Work under pressure to meet deadlines and maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: Experience an asset
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Criminal record check
  • First Aid Certificate
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment.
