Job Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Heavy Goods Transport Specialist to join our team. This permanent position offers an estimated annual salary of $65,000 CAD, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tour Planning: Arrange travel itineraries, make reservations, and ensure seamless logistics for efficient cargo delivery.
  • Team Driving: Drive as part of a two-person convoy or solo, maintaining high standards of road safety and adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload goods, adhering to weight limits and ensuring secure cargo transport.
  • Permits and Documentation: Obtain necessary permits and documents for international routes, guaranteeing compliance with regulations.
  • Vehicle Operations: Operate straight or articulated trucks, performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle integrity.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance tasks, addressing any issues promptly to prevent downtime.
  • Communication: Receive and relay critical information to central dispatch, ensuring timely updates and effective communication.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safe and secure transport of cargo through proper tarping and storage practices.
