Job Title: Land Development Planner

We are seeking a skilled Land Development Planner to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for investigating properties for development feasibility, reviewing agreements of purchase and sale, and developing preliminary concepts and budgets for potential projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate properties for development feasibility and review agreements of purchase and sale.
  • Develop preliminary concepts and budgets for potential projects.
  • Coordinate submissions for municipal, provincial, and federal planning approvals.
  • Liaise with legal, survey, engineering, planning, and environmental consultants.
  • Follow through on regulatory processes to obtain requisite approvals.
  • Meet with team and regulatory staff to resolve issues.
  • Attend and present at public meetings to describe projects.
Requirements:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in leading development applications through the municipal planning process.
  • Post-secondary education in planning, architecture, or engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple team players on a project.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills.
