Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures, preparing and administering radioactive materials, and operating nuclear medicine equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including bone, brain, thyroid, liver, spleen, hepatobiliary, renal scans, and lung scans.
  • Prepare and administer radioactive materials, including I131 thyroid treatments and bone densitometry scans.
  • Operate nuclear medicine equipment, including gamma cameras and positron emission tomography (PET) scanners.
  • Monitor and maintain quality control assessments, ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Report any malfunctions or issues with equipment to the supervisor or designated person.
Requirements:
  • Current and valid Certificate of Registration with the Association of Medical Radiation Technologists of the relevant province.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in general nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Maintain current CPR and First Aid certificate.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, good command of the English language, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work varying shifts and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
