About the Role:

We are seeking an Operations Excellence Specialist to analyze our processes and make continuous improvement recommendations. This role will support and implement strategies related to safety, performance, quality, and client satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyze health and safety hazards or infractions and report them to the Health and Safety Department.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations in the workplace.
  • Work in accordance with all Health and Safety rules and regulations for Cementation.

Additional Duties:

  • Collaborate on projects to implement continuous improvement and short-term interval control processes to optimize productivity and reduce operational costs.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and increased efficiency, focusing on safety and risk management.
  • Conduct regular performance analyses using key KPIs to identify improvement areas and drive project success.
  • Facilitate workshops, training, and coaching teams on continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Encourage feedback and promote idea generation among site personnel.
  • Stay updated on industry innovations, processes, and technological advancements to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Support the implementation of innovations and new technologies throughout the company.
  • Deploy data gathering platforms/technologies at sites, ensuring effective utilization of tools for data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Regularly review and refine improvement processes to ensure ongoing effectiveness and sustainability.
  • Document standards, best practices, and lessons learned from improvement initiatives to share across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with industry and local codes, regulations, and client mandates while contributing to departmental standards.
  • Support other business functions, such as business development and tendering activities, marketing efforts, and technical assistance during mining operations and construction phases.

Requirements:

  • Engineering Degree or Technician with, or eligible for, a Professional designation.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Cost Professional (CCP) designation, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant Mining industry experience.
  • Valid driver's license.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
