Job Title: Steel Framer - Construction Specialist

About the Role
At DRITECH WALLS AND CEILINGS LTD, we are seeking a skilled Steel Framer to join our construction team. As a Steel Framer, you will be responsible for preparing layouts in conformance to building codes, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Work setting: Construction, Various locations, Relocation costs covered by employer
  • Level of expertise: Maintenance and repair
