Job Description

This Junior C#.NET Software Developer position involves providing technical support within the Business Support Services department and participating in the development cycle of Family's proprietary point of sale system upgrades. The successful candidate will work closely with developers, business analysts, quality assurance analysts, and project managers to enhance existing production systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing requirement analysis, software design, and development
  • Implementing quality software using sound development practices and test-driven development methodologies
  • Performing unit tests and integrating software components based on specifications
  • Participating in reviewing requirements, design, and code
  • Estimating project efforts and delivery timelines
  • Mitigating technical, schedule, and other project risks
  • Collaborating with teammates and communicating with project stakeholders
  • Developing and testing software on various platforms
  • Bug fixes, tracking, and feature upgrades
  • Software documentation

Technical Requirements:

  • C# and ASP.Net development
  • Front-end web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and JSON
  • Knowledge of SQL Server (T-SQL, SSRS, and administration)
  • Experience with LINQ and Entity Framework
  • Familiarity with common design patterns (singleton, façade, etc.)

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years of C# development experience
  • Tech or college degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • Eager attitude to learn and apply knowledge to software problems and troubleshooting
  • Self-motivated and independent
  • Clear and concise English communication skills
  • Ability to take ownership of assignments and work independently
