The Role

We are seeking an experienced Digital Solutions Architect to join our team in Ottawa. As a key member of our architecture team, you will be responsible for defining the integration strategy and maintaining the repository of integration architecture artifacts.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have a strong background in system engineering, integration, and testing of enterprise systems. You will work closely with industry partners to enhance digitized operations, support communications between joint and allied forces, and monitor and defend against threats.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent education with relevant experience;
  • 5 years of experience developing, integrating, and testing enterprise systems within the last 10 years;
  • 5 years of experience specifying, architecting, and designing enterprise systems;
  • 2 years of experience using tools typically used for model development such as Enterprise Architect by Sparx Systems or other similar tools.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Defining solution and/or solution element candidate architectures to meet stakeholders' expectations;
  • Producing architectural artefacts and reviewing lower-level specifications;
  • Developing and maintaining inter-product communication protocols;
  • Conducting technical arbitration between various contributors;
  • Presenting architectural proposals to the customer group and guiding technical discussions amongst stakeholders;
  • Documenting and maintaining an up-to-date architectural model.
