Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage family law files independently, handling a wide range of matters including separation agreements, spousal maintenance, and asset division.
  • Conduct hearings, discoveries, mediations, and trials, instructing support staff and receiving instructions from clients.
  • Draft pleadings and speak to chamber applications, negotiating at mediations and appearing at trials.
  • Manage all aspects of a file from beginning to end, with experience in general civil litigation being an asset.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in British Columbia family law practice.
  • Ability to handle challenging work and manage files independently, with strong judgment, work ethic, and interpersonal skills.
  • Desire to become part of the community served, with enthusiasm for growing practice and working towards partnership.
  • Book of business required, with a partnership pathway available.
Compensation
  • Salary to be negotiated.
