We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver Specialist to join our team at Bunzl Canada Inc. This role involves acting as a key representative of the company, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring safe transportation of products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating a Tractor and Trailer in a safe and professional manner.
  • Delivering products to customers on time and providing comprehensive customer service.
  • Loading and unloading materials and items from the truck to designated areas.
  • Communicating with customers regarding delivery schedules and updates.
  • Maintaining accurate logs and adhering to Provincial Transportation regulations.
  • Inspecting tractor and trailer units before and after trips, as per provincial guidelines.
  • Utilizing an industrial forklift to facilitate tasks.
  • Maintaining a tidy and secure work environment.
  • Completing additional tasks and responsibilities as needed.

Required Qualifications

To excel in this position, you should possess the following skills and certifications:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • A valid AZ driver's license.
  • An unblemished driving record, verified through a Driver's Abstract.
  • Previous experience in commercial transportation, preferably with training in heavy equipment operation.
  • The ability to safely operate an AZ truck.
  • Knowledge of relevant provincial transportation laws and regulations.
  • The capacity to manually handle loads and utilize equipment like pallet jacks.
  • Effective communication and reading skills to interpret route manifests and invoices.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying routes and scheduled overtime.
