Seeking a Skilled Associate Counsellor

We are a reputable mental health practice seeking a qualified Associate Counsellor to join our team in our Westshore and Sooke offices. As a result of high demand for mental health services, we are looking for experienced counsellors to collaborate with our growing team.

If you are a skilled counsellor who prefers to focus on client care rather than business operations, this could be an excellent opportunity for you. As an Associate Counsellor with Sea to Tree Health & Wellness, you will have the support of our team to handle the business aspects, allowing you to concentrate on providing high-quality care to your clients.

  • Professional Liability Insurance coverage that includes telehealth services
  • Provide proof of and maintain up-to-date registrations, liability insurance, GST number, and WorkSafe BC coverage
  • Proficient in using online platforms for remote counselling, scheduling, and communication
  • Willingness to provide services for contracts that we work with
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with other practice members and clients of Sea to Tree Health & Wellness Centre
  • Ability to offer in-person counselling on evenings and/or weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Specialization in Anxiety, Depression, Relationships, Addictions, PTSD, and/or Trauma
  • Specialization in EMDR and/or Somatic and Sensorimotor Approaches
  • Specialization in CBT, DBT, ACT, Interpersonal Therapy, Mindfulness
  • Specialization in Eco-Therapy and/or Art & Play Therapy
  • Expertise in providing therapy to children, youth, couples, and families
  • Experience with First Responders and Critical Response Debriefs
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
What We Offer:
  • An associate position with a 70% split fee arrangement
  • Use of our infrastructure (online platforms, website, etc.)
  • New client referrals
  • Opportunity to participate in regular group case consultation
  • Experience and feel of working at a community non-profit agency with the income of a private practice

We are committed to providing highly competent and compassionate care for clients, collaboration and support amongst therapists, and ongoing growth and professional development.

We Look Forward to Hearing from You:

If you are a skilled and compassionate counsellor who is interested in joining our team, please submit your resume and cover letter outlining your areas of practice, experience, and what you can bring to our team.
