Job Title: Uniformed Retail Loss Prevention

Securiguard is seeking experienced individuals to fill the role of Uniformed Retail Loss Prevention. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safeguarding assets and minimizing losses for our retail clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine surveillance to identify and prevent theft, fraud, or other security breaches.
  • Interact with customers and employees to deter potential incidents while maintaining high customer service.
  • Investigate suspicious activities, review CCTV footage, and collaborate with law enforcement when necessary.
  • Enforce security protocols, de-escalate conflicts, and make lawful arrests when required.
Requirements:
  • Valid Security Guard License
  • Valid First Aid & CPR
  • At least 1 year of security experience in a high-profile customer-focused environment.
  • Ability to work at different sites across the Toronto & Greater Toronto Area.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare professional daily and/or incident security reports.
  • Knowledge of Trespass to Property Act (TPA), Canada Criminal Code and 494(c)
  • Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
  • Ability to conduct arrests in appropriate and sanctioned situations.
  • Military/Police background/Law Enforcement background is an asset.
  • Strong observational skills and situational awareness
  • Punctuality
  • Able to stand/patrol up for up to 12 hours.
