Purpose:

As a key member of the GWO Confirmations – OTC Confirmations team, you'll contribute to the overall success of the team globally, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Ensure timely confirmation of trades by tracking unmatched transactions across numerous workstations and participate in root cause analysis to determine if mitigating processes are possible.
  • Provide flexible support for daily operational workstation coverage across the department and offer feedback to management during workstation design initiatives.
  • Understand internal control procedures and provide feedback to management to ensure controls remain relevant and robust.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of your respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk.
  • Champion a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates your team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vision, values, business strategy, and managing succession and development planning for the team.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of all Bank policies, regulatory requirements, limits, and controls that may affect or restrict all aspects of the day-to-day responsibilities for the unit.
  • Solid grasp of principles of all operating systems and applications used by the unit.
  • Knowledge/Experience working with Products handled OTC Derivatives, Equities, Credit, Rates, Commodities, FX Options.
