Poste à pourvoir

Nous sommes à la recherche d'un(e) juriste adjoint(e) bilingue pour rejoindre notre équipe de litige à Ottawa/Gatineau. Travailler chez DS Avocats Canada, c'est évoluer dans un environnement moderne et stimulant, avec des installations de pointe dans nos bureaux d'Ottawa et de Gatineau.

Sous la supervision des avocat(e)s et des adjoint(e)s juridiques et administratifs, vous contribuerez à des dossiers en litige civil, commercial, immobilier, de la construction et administratif.

Tâches et responsabilités

  • Correction de documents en français et en anglais;
  • Mise en page, lettres, procédures civiles;
  • Finaliser les entêtes, endos, avis de présentation et bordereaux conforme aux règles de pratiques;
  • Procéder à la notification, production au greffe numérique et classement dans le système de gestion IManage;
  • Rédaction de projets de procédures en cours d'instance ou autre (protocole, DII, Déclaration de mise au rôle, etc.);
  • Préparer, rédiger des Avis communication pièces, rapports expertise ou autre, nommer et classer les pièces;
  • Entrer délais dans Excel (protocole, prolongation délai, réception DII);
  • Fixer interrogatoires hors cour – échanges entre les parties – réservation sténographe;
  • Rondes de signatures de contrat ou transactions;
  • Envoi lettre, documents par courriel à l'externe, inclure pièces jointes;
  • Assermenter témoins en présence ou à distance;
  • Mise en page de plan de plaidoirie, préparer liste d'autorité, cahier des sources avec signets (hyper lien) conforme aux règles de pratique;
  • Gestion d'agenda, calendrier et rappels;
  • Sauvegarder des courriels reçus/envoyés dans le système de gestion et classement électronique de documents IManage ;
  • Faire les entrées de temps dans Maître.

Compétences, connaissances et aptitudes

  • Cinq (5) années et plus d'expérience à titre d'adjoint(e) juridique;
  • Formation de secrétariat juridique ou de technicien(ne) juridique (ou l'équivalent);
  • Connaissance du droit civil québécois essentiel;
  • Connaissance du common law un atout;
  • Maîtrise des fonctions de la suite Microsoft Office (et préférablement, Office 365);
  • Maitrise des concepts de base reliés à la gestion d'une pratique juridique en cabinet;
  • Maitrise des logiciels « Maitre » et de IManage (un atout);
  • Maîtrise de la langue française et anglaise, tant à l'oral qu'à l'écrit;
  • Respect de la confidentialité et discrétion;
  • Capacité à travailler sous pression et résilience;
  • Savoir faire des mises-à-jour corporative – un atout;
  • Sens des responsabilités et de l'organisation;
  • Rigueur et soucis du détail;
  • Aisance avec la gestion des priorités et du temps;
  • Axé sur les solutions et autonome.
