Job Title: Registered Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Unity Child Care Centres. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young learners.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement child-care programs, lead activities, and provide exceptional care to our children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Lead activities, including storytelling, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
Requirements:
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Experience working with children with special needs, including mental health disabilities, physical disabilities, and behavioral issues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
