The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the railway mechanical field. Certification in Railroad Safety is also desirable.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement long-term strategies to optimize locomotive performance and reliability.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of mechanics, technicians, and support staff to ensure high performance and accountability.
- Maintain existing contacts and expand industry networks to provide maintenance services across Western Canada.
- Oversee routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs of rolling stock, locomotives, and other mechanical equipment.
- Stay up-to-date with latest developments in railway mechanical engineering technology, systems, and practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in railway mechanical field.
- Certification in Railroad Safety (desirable).
- Knowledge of railroad mechanical systems, equipment, and operations.
