Special Education Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Special Education Assistant at the Autism Support Network. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with autism develop life skills and achieve their goals.
Responsibilities- Assist students in developing life skills, such as daily living skills, social skills, and emotional regulation.
- Collaborate with clients and their families to create individualized education and intervention plans that cater to their unique needs and goals.
- Work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing assistance and guidance to clients in their homes or community settings.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of autism and its effects on individuals and families, ensuring that support is tailored to meet their specific needs.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends.
