Bakery Manager

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Manager to join our team at D Spot Dessert Cafe. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and baking of our delicious desserts.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and bake desserts: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Train staff: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Supervise baking personnel: Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff.
- Ensure quality: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
- Operate machinery: Operate machinery.
- Organize inventory: Organize and maintain inventory.
- Oversee sales: Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods.
- Prepare special orders: Prepare special orders for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Support social and labour market integration: Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.).
- Provide awareness training: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Provide cultural competency training: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Offer mentorship programs: Offers mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
