Job Summary

Wood's Homes is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Support Counsellor to join our Family Support Network program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality family support services to children and families in care, including in-home support, school liaison, and community coordination.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop effective plans to address the needs of families.
  • Provide individual and family counselling, as well as parent skills training, to promote healthy relationships and coping mechanisms.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all family members by intervening in crisis situations and providing follow-up care as needed.
  • Participate in regular supervision, case reviews, and team meetings to ensure the delivery of effective family support services.
  • Report workplace hazards and incidents to their supervisor.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as Human Sciences or Childcare.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience working with infants, children, and families.
  • Experience in family and in-home support, case management, and crisis intervention is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Personal suitability and a commitment to working in a diverse and inclusive environment.
