Early Learning Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) plays a vital role in the interdisciplinary team by actively participating in assessment, planning, implementation, and monitoring of interventions for children with speech language needs in early learning programming.
This position involves working closely with the Speech-Language Pathologist, classroom team, caregivers, and other interdisciplinary team members to determine speech-language needs of identified children. The SLPA will regularly review goals, accommodations, and/or interventions, aid in the development of differentiated instructional strategies to support speech-language development, observe and document student strengths and achievements, work with the team to develop consistent goals, and stay current with best evidence-based practices in speech and language pathology.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of preschool language delays and disorders, intervention strategies, and child development. They will possess sound clinical judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in combination with analytical abilities. Experience working with families and external professionals of other disciplines is also essential.
