Job Title: Retail Merchandiser

Job Summary:

The Retail Merchandiser is a part-time role that plays a crucial part in the field merchandising team. Reporting to the Territory Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining Hallmark Canada departments in mass channel accounts, including ordering, receiving, and merchandising of product in accordance with a master schedule and merchandising plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports merchandising service with inventory management and merchandising activities in assigned retail accounts or several retail accounts.
  • Maintains scheduled service visits each week and stays within set budgets as they flex from week to week depending on retail occasions.
  • Follows merchandising plan, productivity standards, and schedule provided, with attention to detail to ensure instructions are followed.
  • Provides additional support to cover vacant accounts, holiday periods, and in seasonal peak demand periods.
  • Supports department revisions, remerchandising, relocations, and new store installations as required.

Communication Skills:

  • Maintains ongoing scheduled/unscheduled communication with Territory Manager to ensure current knowledge of upcoming programs and in-store activities.
  • Liaises with account management as a Hallmark representative relative to scheduled service calls and builds/maintains strong working relationships with account level management.
  • Communicates clearly with Territory Manager, ensuring accounts are being serviced and merchandised to meet or exceed retail standards.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in retail environment beneficial
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Strong knowledge of Smartphone technology and ability to effectively manage an email account
