About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team at SP Constructions. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finishes on our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to achieve a high-quality finish
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat as required
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts
Work Environment

As a Drywall Finisher, you will work in a variety of locations, including construction sites and warehouses. You will be exposed to dusty environments and will be required to work at heights.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in drywall finishing
  • Ability to work at heights and in dusty environments
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor
