Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Bear Metals Inc. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for measuring and marking sheet metal according to templates, operating metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal, and inspecting products to ensure quality and conformity to specifications.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position working 30 to 44 hours per week. The successful candidate must have 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role and hold a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent. Proficiency in English is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure and mark sheet metal according to template requirements
  • Operate metalworking machines to perform various tasks such as cutting, punching, drilling, shaping or straightening sheet metal
  • Inspect products to ensure they meet quality and specification standards
  • Assemble, erect and install hoisting and rigging equipment as needed
  • Fabricate and fit sheet metal parts together
  • Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
Specialization or Experience
  • Custom sheet metal items fabrication
  • Eavestroughing and flashing installation
