Job Responsibilities
  • Create accurate and detailed drawings for customer approval, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Develop fabrication drawings for shop purposes, adhering to project specifications and deadlines.
  • Prepare material lists, cut lists, and panel layouts for building systems, optimizing efficiency and reducing waste.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. Education: A graduate degree in Engineering Design and Drafting from an accredited Canadian technical institute is required.
  2. Software Proficiency: Experience with AutoCAD software is essential, while knowledge of TEKLA is also required.
  3. Experience: The successful candidate will have experience with rigid frame detailing, structural steel skids, metal building systems, stairways, and handrails.
  4. Academic Achievement and Interpersonal Skills: A strong academic record, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results are expected.
  5. Knowledge of Industry Standards: Familiarity with the Handbook of Steel Construction is highly valued.
