Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Anesthesiologist to join our team at the University of Toronto, one of Canada’s leading academic hospitals. As a key member of our department, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care, teach and mentor students, residents, and fellows, and contribute to in-house and University teaching programs.

About the Role

This is a full-time active staff academic position with various opportunities for research and teaching. You will be responsible for providing anesthetic care throughout surgical and obstetric programs, supervising and teaching junior colleagues, and participating in hospital administrative duties.

Requirements
  • Medical degree from a recognized institution
  • Postgraduate fellowship training in Anesthesia
  • Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Anesthesia
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
Work Environment

You will be based at one of our four hospitals: Mount Sinai, Toronto General and Toronto Western Hospitals, or Women's College Hospital. Each hospital offers a unique environment and opportunities for growth and development.

Compensation

The salary for this position is commensurate with qualifications and experience, within the usual range for an anesthesiologist in the Province of Ontario ($300,000-500,000 per annum). We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive pension plan.
