Job Summary:

Synergy Land and Environmental Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contaminated Sites Specialist or Professional Agrologist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and executing assessment and remediation projects, providing technical strategy and oversight, and directing complex field activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute assessment and remediation projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
  • Provide technical strategy and oversight on contaminated site assessment and remediation projects
  • Direct complex field activities, including site investigations and remediation works
  • Prepare or review technical correspondence, proposals, work plans, cost estimates, reports, and project specifications for assessment and remediation programs
  • Act as a client liaison to maintain successful, productive relationships and ensure effective communication and project management
  • Provide technical project direction and mentorship to junior and intermediate staff
  • Lead or support liability evaluations for acquisitions and divestitures, and site-specific liability evaluations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry or Environmental Sciences
  • At least 3+ years of relevant environmental consulting experience
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong working knowledge of the oil and gas industry in BC

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading or supporting liability evaluations for acquisitions and divestitures, and site-specific liability evaluations
  • Knowledge of evolving and emerging trends, strategies, and technologies in environmental remediation
  • Understanding of sustainable remediation principles and practices
  • Ability to work with First Nation communities and incorporate Indigenous requirements into projects
