As an Environmental Health and Safety Manager at GE Vernova, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe execution of operations from inquiry to remittance. This involves collaborating with operational leaders and frontline teams to implement the EHS management system requirements and meet enterprise expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with operational teams to develop and implement training programs to ensure employees are aware of EHS procedures and protocols.
- Investigate incidents and near-miss events to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance and effective communication.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, including OSHA and ISO 14001.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
